Wheat Bread Recipe

This is what my kitchen looked like when I walked into it for the first time this morning. I let out a little scream of shock. Cause, I cleaned it before bed and made my sink shine and everything!

Fifteen minutes later.... Much better.

Now, I can fix myself something to eat. I decide on...

My delicious home made wheat bread. I use my mother-in-laws old recipe. I know she's perfected it after this recipe was written. So this isn't her best one. Jonathan and I are playing around with it and changing things that we remember her doing when she made bread. It sure is yummy though.

To make 4 large loaves of bread, mix 1 T of Yeast and 1 1/2 C of warm water in a bowl and let sit forever until bubbly.
Than, in the boshe mix 1 C Salad Oil (aka vegetable oil), 1 T salt, 4 T honey, 4 C warm water, than add yeast and water mixture to it. Add 6 C whole wheat flour, 4-6 C white flour

Your dough should be soft and sticky but still manageable. **Jonathan and I are playing with how much wheat gluten to add to this recipe. Let rise once, punch down. Divide into greased bread pans, let rise again, bake in oven at 350 degree for 45 minutes. This recipe can easily be split in half. I love that this recipe is so food storage friendly.

mmmmm. Yummy breakfast. Now if I can muster the motivation to clean up MY mess that I left out from yesterday. Laundry....ugh.
