Decision

I am trying to decide what I want done more, the back yard or painting the inside of my house. It's a toss up. I have decided how to layout the backyard and what trees I am going to get, where to plant the garden and where to plant the grape vines and hopefully I can get blackberrys to grow here in az. I can't wait for the trees!!! I also have come to a decision for the colors I am using to paint with!!!! I was given advice to buy enough paint to do the whole house, buy my main color in the 5 gallon bucket and just paint one wall at a time. Other wise it is too big of a job and it will get overwhelming for me.
What would you do first and why?

I am wanting to buy this book. It was released last week and already is number 6 on the New York Times best sellers list. Aprilynne's father in law was my bishop when I was a teen and when I married my husband. He was a help as I repented and became truly converted to the gospel than later as I prepared for the temple. Sis. Pike was my relief society president in my last ward. I love the Pikes and of course, I want to buy the book their daughter in law wrote. Plus, The book looks like fun and Stephanie Meyer gave this book a really good review. I got to read the first 4 chapters on Barns and Noble website and now I want to finish the book.

Here is the Description from the Boarder's website: When a flower blooms in the middle of her back, Laurel discovers that she is a faerie and was placed with human parents as a child. As Laurel learns about her true background and the dangers that face the faerie realm, she struggles to find her place in both worlds.

Ok, so this sign just makes me laugh. It is scattered around the intersections in Laveen.
Do people really hire scoop service? Is there really a market for that kind of service? I would think that scoop service goes with yard up keep services.
It reads:
DOG POOP = GROSS
SCOOP SERVICE = CHEAP
CALL US = SMART

Yea you bloged! You already know what paint colors you want, so buy that first and you will be able to just do it. the back yard sounds like more work and money than you are prepaired for right now. So I pick paint first and work on your back yard as you can.

I was faced with the same decision in my house. We went with painting first, and finally finished (After a year, but I was pregnant!) and now are tackling the garden. We chose the paint since it was winter time and we were inside a lot looking at blank walls. But if it was summer, I might have gone for that first. Very exciting to be in your house!

I agree with paint first. When your hubby sees your efforts and determination, the guilt will make him putty in your hands!! Monica's guilt trips are relentless, and they work on me all the time....Del

p.s. Ask Scott about the fun times he would have with my memory lapses. He loves to let me tell him things that I have already told him ten times, and then laugh hysterically at me. He always asks if I have been taking my Ginkoba!! Sorry to hear of your affliction.

See a need, fill a need. I hope they make some money because it's a good idea!

I would plant a few things to start them off and then tackle the paint. I paint one wall at a time after the kids have gone to bed. Painting with them awake is asking for trouble.

Do the yard when all the stuff is on sale, which is usually on the off season. Paint when you can. I love the poop service, that's great but would hate to tell people what I did for a living.

I remember growing up and having all the dog poop out behind the house and every so often we'd have to go out and pick it all up. Imagine having somebody else come in once or twice a week to pick up all your dog's poop. Somebody was smart to think of that one. The equipment is cheap and the work is pretty easy-just not something most people want to have to do.

As far as the house, You're coming into summer now and, unless you plan to plant plants that will thrive in the heat, then I would suggest waiting to do the yard and just tackle the inside of the house, where you'll sit and want to be cool all summer.
